Short Description:

We present the algorithms and data structure schemes to be used for knowledge storage and processing by various ICONS components. The schemes provide for scalable and distributed storage and processing, including high-availability. We first discuss the various ICONS data management needs. Next, we present in depth the algorithms, including expected performance measures, as they appeared through theoretical and experimental studies. Finally, we address the design of the prototype storage systems SDDS-2002 and of SD-SQL Server implementing the discussed ideas. The report refers to our various technical reports & published papers demonstrating the validity of the ideas and included in the Appendixes.
